Brookview Station Winery
Brookview Station Winery, located in Castleton, NY, produces award-winning wines from apples, pears, peaches, cherries, and strawberries grown in their own orchards and locally in the Hudson Valley. Their flagship wine is a semi-dry apple wine called “Whistle-Stop White” that was honored as 2007′s Best Hudson River Region Wine; since then, it has gone on to earn multiple gold medals. Additionally, there are five other wines being produced at Brookview Station at this time:
- Their flagship wine, the Whistle Stop White is a semi-dry apple wine that’s been awarded the Cornell Cup and a gold medal at the 2008 Int’L Eastern Wine Competition
- Whole peaches are fermented with fresh-squeezed juice to make this “succulent peach dessert wine”
- Approximately 30,000 Bing cherries go into each bottle to make this “sweet cherry dessert wine”
- A “semi-dry pear wine” awarded two silver medals, including the 2007 NY Wine and Food Classic
- A “semi-sweet apple-pear wine” awarded the 2008 Best Hudson River Region Fruit Wine
- A “blissfully sweet strawberry dessert wine” awarded gold in the 2008 Finger Lakes Int’l Wine Competition
